The Infinite Horizons Foundation has launched it’s new initiative called The Slice.
It is a summer giving campaign designed to bring generosity, connection, and community spirit into workplaces across Vancouver Island and beyond.
“Rooted in the simple joy of sharing something sweet, The Slice invites organizations to celebrate their teams while making a meaningful difference in the community,” a release from the foundation says. “More than a seasonal initiative, the campaign transforms everyday appreciation into lasting impact, one slice at a time.”
The initiative is rooted in the idea that philanthropy doesn’t have to feel formal to be powerful.
Offices can purchase pies to be delivered directly to their workplace or sent to clients as a seasonal thank you. Each delivery includes a freshly made pie with ice cream.
“Inspired by nostalgia and the warmth of shared summer moments, the campaign encourages businesses to slow down, come together, and engage in giving that feels personal, thoughtful, and accessible,” the release says.
“The Slice is about connection in its simplest form,” says Corey Sawchuk, President, Infinite Horizons Foundation. “It’s a reminder that small gestures, shared in the workplace, around a table, or within a team, can ripple outward into real and meaningful change.”
As part of The Infinite Table, Infinite Horizons Foundation’s broader series of curated philanthropic experiences, The Slice sits alongside initiatives that reimagine how people engage with giving. While other offerings focus on intimate dinners and transformational experiences, The Slice brings that same spirit of connection into everyday workplaces.
Participating organizations are invited to incorporate The Slice into their summer culture, whether as a team appreciation moment, a staff gathering, or a creative way to align internal celebrations with community impact. Every participation helps support Infinite Horizons Foundation’s mission to fund and strengthen initiatives across youth, healthcare, education, environmental stewardship, and community wellbeing on Vancouver Island.
“With The Slice, generosity becomes something you can share, simple, memorable, and just a little bit sweet,” the release says.
The initiative goes until September, and pies cost $100, which includes ice cream and delivery.
